Digital Storytelling
Traditional Writing for a Modern Age
After joining the writing and rhetoric program, I began to recognize the importance of the new ways of articulating information with an audience. The technology age has gifted writers and lawyers new means of producing information that can be more accessible to audiences than the traditional means of writing. The writing and rhetoric program had a variety of coursework that allowed me as a writer to push the boundaries of traditional media and find new outlets to broadcast the stories shared through writing. Whether it's website creation, infographics, or any other form of a digital deliverable, the way that information is shared and received by audiences is changing rapidly. Through my major, I've adapted my storytelling to encompass traditional media. This could be used to create easily understandable pieces for clients, communicating information to the public, or designing an accessible website for people to understand what myself and/or my firm do.
