In the legal field, where precedent can make or break a case, there's a very large emphasis placed on the ability to research. Legal research is an entirely different concept than the research that I was used to coming into UCF and even in the classes that I had that weren't law based. However, I knew that in order to succeed and make myself into a successful legal writer, I needed to master my legal research. Thankfully, the opportunity came along to showcase that talent in two published pieces for the UCF Undergraduate Law Review Journal. I chose two topics that were different in nature to showcase the range and ability to complete research on different topics and complete to add a voice to two different conversations. These articles allowed me to come out of my natural comfort zone and dive into two unique topics and become somewhat of an expert in those topics.
